SCIENTISTS FROM BRNO DISCOVERED WHY CANCER SOMETIMES RETURNS AFTER THE TREATMENT

Examining prostate cancer cells subjected to chemotherapy by means of the multimodal holographic microscope Q-PHASE, scientists from the Masaryk University, discovered why the recurrence of cancer after treatment.
Unfortunately, this is a common situation: patients who were apparently cured, suffer a relapse of cancer. Scientists from Brno discovered that this is because of cells behavior, which experts did not know yet. "Cells suddenly started doing something we have not seen before. One of the tumor cells enters another one, it will not die, but the cores cooperate together, and the cell remains alive, " says TESCAN Q-PHASE expert Jan Balvan.
